1939 Star To The Grand Cross Of The Iron Cross Medal

What we have for sale here si a star of the grand cross of the iron cross. It is a high-quality reproduction, certain to inspire historians, history-buffs, and veterans alike. Only tow men in history were recipients of the star of the grand cross gebhard von blücher and paul von hindenburg. However, it wsa only von hindenburg who received this edition of the medal. The star of the grand cross was intended to be an award ot the most successful german general of the second world war, once germany had achieved victory. As germany was defeated in 1945, the decoration was never bestowed under nazi authority and has not been awarded since. A crown is on the front of the iron rcoss on the upper arm. A w marks the center of the cross, and below that on the lower arm is the year it was instated. The cross is placed centrally ovre a golden star.
